Speaking of progress, world peace, solidarity and brotherhood among peoples will be completely useless until it will not be addressed and resolved (or at least alleviate) the greatest injustice of all time: injustice North / South.
has been calculated that if we wanted to ensure everyone in the world a style of life equal to the U.S. would need five planets to our equal [10]. Shocking is not it?
Injustice is striking: only a small part of the world population (not more than 25%) use more than 80% of the resources of our planet. The South the world is deliberately kept under conditions of slavery and extreme poverty to enable the North to the lucky few that they could had a good time great. This is an undeniable truth.
How can you know? Ah, maybe you did not pretend to know. As they say: eye does not see the heart does not hurt. And I must say that it is a philosophy that has its own logic. But this logic will be broken. It's just a matter of time. The point is to ensure that the disruption of this system takes place in a peaceful and least painless. While in Europe's forests are recovering slowly field thanks to afforestation in Africa, Asia and South America are killed each year 20 million hectares of forests [4]. And much of that timber is used for products sold in the North. This is just a small example.
think that the winter your house is warm thanks to crude oil or gas that comes from countries where the population has no running water at home and struggling to meet all basic needs, while you're almost forgotten that there are basic needs such as eating, drinking, clothing and shelter under one roof. You will do two or three showers a day and uses three or four types of cleaners for your body, while many parts of the world, people drink dirty water causing diseases that they carry with them throughout their lives.
But then reflect a little 'I say these things already knew and had heard say many times. After all you seem to you a great injustice. In a just world everyone should be entitled to enjoy roughly the same quality of life, or at least to be able to meet their basic needs in full. I also say that you thought you had and often donated money for humanitarian and aid projects in Africa, building schools or buying vaccines. Even remember that you did the sponsorship to enable a poor child can go to school and buy clothes and books. No doubt a good deed, do not you think? But it is nothing but an almost shameful to relieve our guilt and to disguise the true solution of the problem: namely, the total emancipation the people of South and interruption of our exploitation against them, exploitation of which we are all complicit and tacitly allowed.
It's time to get out of all hypocrisy and admit that we ourselves are the first not to want to give up our wealth and our cotton dummy did not want to share with others. Especially when so many.
We now choose to dispense with many unnecessary needs (created by the system to stay alive) and many services that we can share in a civilized way, without anyone being disadvantaged. We need to make different choices, we will see the following pages, and we have to do for the sake of ourselves and as long as there given the opportunity to choose. Maybe one day we will be forced to change course. And be compelled by force is not good, it never was.
From my point of view began when I see other options and everything seems so obvious. The industrial revolution gave us the scientific and technical means to heavily modify our way of life (in some cases improving it seriously), but there is only one small flaw, a small mistake, perhaps an oversight that we have the courage to correct. The scientific and technological progress has not been subservient to the welfare of human beings and their environment, but the theoretical development was given the logic of the market, a logic that is based solely on money and the sale price and purchase, that is, a world based on supply and demand. Without taking into account the physical limits of our habitat, respect for natural resources or for other populations. The fact is that scientific advances have allowed man to overturn his life (law of gravity, thermodynamics, relativity), but not in the least been taken into consideration when it came to outlining the basic principles of economics and politics .
not that I have discovered nothing new, we all know (or almost) which is exactly what happened. It is useless for you to say that another world is an ideal world, no longer viable. Why a different world, justice and equality is not only possible, but it is also the only choice we have constructive.
